Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a type of hair transplant done by taking individual hair follicles from the back of your scalp and moving them to another part of the body where hair’s thinner or absent. Our Hair Transplant Surgeons use the state of art, artificial intelligence ARTAS® iX Robot. This advanced technology allows our surgeons to remove individual hair follicles leaving natural looking results, little to no downtime and no linear scar.
The ARTAS® iX Robot includes an advanced multi-camera stereoscopic vision system with 44-micron resolution. This system, along with the device’s seven-axis robot arm, enables physicians to deliver automated procedures with the greatest accuracy. The ARTAS® robotic hair transplant system can intelligently analyze and select appropriate grafts from the donor area.
In addition to the ARTAS® iX Robot our surgeons are also using the revolutionary automated Follicular Unit Extraction and implantation technology of the NeoGraft® Hair Restoration System. The NeoGraft® eliminates the inefficiencies of common manual tools and procedures while enabling physicians to offer hair transplants with consistent clinical outcomes. Each hair follicle contains one to three individual hairs. Once the follicles are extracted, they are carefully separated and strategically reimplanted in areas of the scalp where hair loss has occurred.

Will the hair that is transplanted fall out in the future?
The transplanted hairs are permanent as they are taken from the back of the head where they usually do not have hormone receptors.
Is there any scarring?
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) technique, there are no visible scars but as some tissues along with the hair follicle is taken out from there, scar tissue presence is always there.
How long is the recovery after the Hair Transplant?
We suggest 2 weeks of staying at home or “laying low”, but complete bedrest is not needed. All the detailed instructions along with the medication required are given post surgery. Adequate post-op care reduces the need for prolonged rest and ensures you have optimum results.
Is the procedure painful?
The procedure is not painful as local anesthetic is used. We make sure the area is numb before we start the transplant procedure. Some tenderness and swelling is common for 4-6 days post-op but is tolerable and you are provided pain medication as needed post transplant.
How many grafts are enough?
Number of grafts depends on the deficit you have or the area on your head you want to get your hair back. Usually between 2000 – 3000 grafts are enough to give you a good coverage.
