Is the Microlaser Peel ablative?
Yes. Using an ablative laser, we remove a thin layer of damaged skin to improve the overall skin’s overall appearance and texture.
Is a Microlaser Peel painful?
We will apply topical numbing cream beforehand so you should have minimal discomfort during the procedure. Some people may experience a sensation of heat, like the feeling of the hot sun directly on your skin, but no significant discomfort.
What can I expect?
You will experience smoother, healthier, more youthful skin, with a significant change in skin texture and tone.
How long is the recovery time?
Healing takes just two to four days. The procedure can be performed on a Thursday or Friday, so you can return to work the following Monday. Symptoms immediately following the procedure resemble a sunburn. You will have minor sloughing and itching on the second day. Redness will begin to fade by the third day and can be easily covered by makeup on the fourth day.
